Unlike some of our competition, we don't have a standard plan we drop onto every job. Victoria has too much variety in lot size, home age, and grade for that strategy to work. The first visit is always about understanding the property and figuring out what's possible. Design choices follow from there.
Composite is the most common material we install in Victoria. TimberTech, Azek, Trex, and Deckorators are all on the menu, with the specific recommendation depending on your priorities and budget. Composite handles Minnesota winters better than wood, requires essentially no maintenance, and looks great for years. If you're replacing an older wood deck, composite is the obvious upgrade.
Screen porches turn the back of the house into a usable outdoor room from spring through fall. We design them as real additions, with proper framing, integrated roofs, and options for ceiling fans, lighting, and fireplaces. The mosquitoes stay out and you actually get to use the space.
Pergolas and privacy walls are great in Victoria's mix of newer subdivisions where lots can be pushed a little closer together. They add architectural definition to your outdoor space, provide shade where you need it, and block sightlines without closing the yard in completely.
Deck lighting goes in during construction so all the wiring is nicely concealed. Post cap lights, riser lights, and under-rail LED strips, which can be dimmable if you want. More than an add-on, a well lit deck elevates it's appearance and makes it look great in the evening.
