Building a deck on or near the water comes with constraints other lots don't have. Shoreline setbacks, watershed district rules, grade changes from house to shoreline, and view considerations all factor in. We've done it enough times to know what to ask up front and how to design around the realities of the site.
Composite is the standard material for new builds in Prior Lake. TimberTech, Azek, Trex, and Deckorators are all on the menu, with the higher-grade lines holding up especially well on lakefront properties where the sun and weather exposure are heavier. Composite is also the right replacement for older wood decks that have weathered hard.
