Two Teacher Construction completed this Cedar Deck in Eden Prairie for the Oaks family. Solid proportions, proper structure, materials suited to the climate. No shortcuts. The gallery below shows what we handed over on completion day.

Western red cedar is the wood most MN deck builders default to for good reason. It's naturally rot- and insect-resistant, takes stain well, and looks genuinely good as it ages. It's not the cheapest option, but it sits at a practical middle point between pressure treated and composite — better performance than PT, lower cost than most composite products.
